No power on the AC fuse #9 on my 1980 450sl
Hi, I'm new to the forums ,
I have a 1980 450sl that I have to run a 12volt connection straight to the switch on the drier to get the compressor to run.
everything works great when I do that.
But the ac compressor fuse #9 does not have power on either side of it and even if I put 12 volts straight to that fuse it still does nothing to turn on the compressor.
Is there an inline fuse that is wired for this model instead of fuse #9?
If so, could someone tell me exactly where it is so I don't have to pull the whole dash apart, even a picture would be great !

I did find two other fuses above the fuse box, you have to remove the panel to get to them but mine were not blown so I am just going to wire 12 volts from the positive side of the coil with an inline fuse to a toggle switch and the other leg of the toggle switch to the switch on the drier to turn on the ac compressor. I did it that way under the hood and it works good but when you are driving you can't turn the compressor off so I'm going to put the toggle switch inside of the car and have AC the cheating way by bypassing the relays and such.
Let me know if you come up with a better idea.
