last night I took the plunge, a 1978 450sl from Arizona. beautiful black with red interior. doors shut as they should, interior perfect in every detail. 127000 miles, new tires, exhaust, and soft top. Hard top included. 10 years ago it was on it's way to Mexico with an unauthorized operator! Recovered in the Nogales area near the border. Vin was removed along with data plates. Now has an Arizona recovered theft vin and title to match. the vin bothers me a little, but since I'm the end user, So what! Condition trumped all other factors. Needless to say, it is rust free, What would be a fair price for this car?
