baggy throttle

I step down and there's a dead zone in the gas pedal until I get a response, maybe a half to 3/4 inch. any thoughts?

there is an adjustment to be made under the air cleaner.
take a look at the service manual
easy fix

Wild *** guess... There are some plastic/nylon ***** in the linkage prone to failure. I'd guess they have done so and are in need of renewal.
