SL/R107: 450 slc dash controls help

Hi Guys need help to expalin the controls and settings for heating and cooling/Fans/demist etc as heat continues to come from dash when i dont want it also how to turn on A/C please any body explain the slide levers RED/White upand down postions. Please.

You might let us know the model year of your car; the heater controls varied year to year.
Also - while the problem could come from bad vacuum actuators resulting in one or more improperly positioned flaps - or from leaks in the tubing to the actuators - it could also come from a bad servo (I am not sure that a servo was used with any manual control system; it was definitely used with ACCII, which I am fairly sure you do not have).
There is excellent information on the HVAC system at page 3 of http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c1...ka-egv107.html - Rowdie's diagram may be what you need.
If you do not own one of the R/C 107 shop manual CD sets that periodically come available on ebay, I do suggest that they can be very helpful. You can also try the downloads of the shop manual on page 1 of the link provided.
I was able to obtain a replacement owner's manual for my car at books4cars.com (I have the original, but at some point it got wet and pages are stuck together).
