Gauges not responding, hard start when warm

Im ashamed to admit that my little 84 450sl has sort of taken the back burner to my other vehicles. I finally got a new battery for it. Started right up. But two things are going wrong. A none of the gauges will read anything, not a millimeter of movement. And the turn signals and hazards dont work. The turn signals have been an on going battle where if they quit working I could play with the hazard switch and get them going, but now. Nothing,

Also it has the weirdest problem. I have not even turned this thing over in months, with a new battery BOOM not even 2 full cranks and its running, But once it has run for a couple hours, and you go to start it up when its warm, it takes for ever for it to catch, never had this trouble before. Any help is appreciated. THANKS!
