Hey all. In an attempt to find an HID fog light upgrade, I found a headlight conversion for our car! It is made by Sylvania. It is called the xenarc system. It is completely DOT legal. THe low beams are xenon lights, and the hi beams are new H1 halogen assemblies! The kit includes everything needed for installation. The kit for our car is teh 5006 kit. Look around online, I have found it for as little are $439! I think thats pretty good compared to getting the Hella 5.75" lo beam upgrade for $80 and then spending another 5-600 for an HID upgrade that will look bright but will not perform terrific because of the halogen designed lens. I hope to get this on my car as the lighting is not that great, even though I have the Hella upgrades. If anyone has this please let me know.

I wish I would have known that 3 months ago, I just did a complete Hella upgrade hi and low beams.

btw: When I pulled the headlight surround trim I noticed they had a lot of dirt and road grime in them. I used a dremel tool on the plastic tabs holding the tin backing plates to remove them. cleaned the insides with warm soapy water (had to soak a while to get the grime out). I then painted the tin backing plates with silver paint and replaced them with some dabs of epoxy.

It really freshed up the front of the car.

yes the hella upgrade is ok, thats what i have on my car. But, that cost around 160, and im sure someone on the forum would buy it off u. the HID looks so good, and will giv so much better lighting than the hella cause the lenses are designed for HID. I recommend sellin the lenses and getting the HID. Ill let u kno when i get mine!
