I recently picked up a 86 black/black 560sl I found on craigslist. Got it for less than 3k and I have to say Ive loved it so far. Im usually into BMW's but the classic Benz roadsters have always caught my eye. Anyways on to some pictures Ive taken so far, Ive yet to do a full shoot with my dslr but I plan on it soon.

With my X5

Thank you, its been completely stripped and re-done.

Not sure yet, if I find out its been repainted then I'm going to repaint/new interior, some BBS's, try and lower it a little and full exhaust. Possibly try and attempt a 4-5spd swap.

If the paints original along with everything else, then Im going to restore it.

You should definitely do something about those diving boards at each end of the car.

A lot better to sit on the bumper while drinking a cold one than on the aluminum hood.

MB’s
Very clean 560SL! I had a 87. Real great car! You will love this car for years on end I promise. How many miles? You got a fantastic price for sure. Make sure the A/C works. Only downfall to older MB's.

I actually kind of like them and spending a day/1000+ to replace them with euro isn't really worth it right now. First thing on my list is timing chain and preventive maintenance, then paint.

Exactly, Ive taken it to the beach and downtown Annapolis quite a few times and the bumpers are perfect seats when the top is on.

Thank you! That's what I am hoping and unfortunately it has 160,000. But from what ive seen price wise I got a great deal. I have a feeling it needs the timing chain replaced. But it still runs great and drives great so once that gets replaced I think ill be in the clear. Ive put about 3500 miles on it with no problems at all.

A/C kind of works, it doesn't get cold but it functions fine besides that, freon maybe?
