No fueltank pressure no smog pls help!
hello all, first time poster hoping to get some help. I have an 82 380SL that isn't passing smog in CA. The gas tank does not hold any pressure i.e. there's no vacuuming effect in the tank when I take the cap off. The mechanic checked the cap and said it was fine, but he suggested that he needs to check all the "lines" for leaks and wants to charge me $300.
I need to know WHERE on the car these lines run and what other things I should check while I'm under the car. I am hoping to find the leak myself and replace the leaking hose myself.
