instrument cluster for r107

Hello,

can someone guide me through the different instrument clusters available for r107? On ebay they claim a w116 would work too in a r107. I wonder how this works, since the rear rend ratio are different as far as I know? What clusters are interchangeable and how to find the right one?

I know there are a few differences between 107 models, including cable/non cable speedometer, electric sender/hose oil pressure, and minor differences in the idiot lights.

Sadly, I can't give a comprehensive list of differences/models.

However, can I ask why you need a new cluster?

Cluster

If you have the original one I would recommend that you send it in for rebuild, there is a guy in Phoenix that does this thru ebay, I just had it done for my 560 sl and he does a great job for $80

Go to http://epc.startekinfo.com, register with a credit card (no charge for US model info) and plug in your VIN. You'll get the right catalog number from MBUSA as there were lots of speedometers for the 107 body cars but only one is right for yours based on year, drive train and your location.
