1983 280SL
Just bought one that had been sitting in a garage for 18 years. Gray market car (imported by a professor - she stopped driving it in 1995). Has Euro bumpers and is undergoing resto at my mechanic. Anyone else have one stateside? My mechanic says it is in great shape, but the whole fuel system is being re-done (tank cleaned/relined, rails, pump, injectors etc) along with the standard stuff (belts, hoses, fluids, shocks, tires, brakes) - should be ready for me in the spring.

Yes, I too have a mbz 280sl 1983 european model. Wonderful car. Very good condition. I drive it weekly.
