Dash Restoration
My '84 280SL has the typical old age crack on the dash.
I'm trying to evaluate my options to have it restored to new condition.
Recovering seems to be the primary method to achieve like new results. There are a few companies that offer this service, but I'm still in the check-out phase of determining which is the best choice.
From what I've read so far, Just Dashes does the most complete restoration by removing the old covering and foam and replacing with better quality foam and vacuum installed vinyl. I'm just not sure how the results compare with original finish.
Has anyone used this service? Or, has anyone had excellent results with another company's service?
Regards

I saw a brand new black dash on craigslist for $70 OBO and I have seen them on ebay too—no idea what type of work it entails to install it though. I imagine its the type of thing that would bring up more issues then you started with.
