I searched and found only a post that says to use only MB ATF for fluid change. Are there suitable alternatives? I know there is info here someplace but I can't find it (1982 380sl)

Some have switched to synthenics like Mobile1. I use dextron III

I just changed mine and a few people told me not to put synthetic in because the seals don't hold up in synthetic oil. I am not sure if this is true or not, so to play it safe I went with Dex III.
