Pre-Production 1970 SL 350 Cabrio
Hello guys! so i found this 1970 pre production SL 350 for sale... and i was wondering if its more valuable than the rest of the R107 SL's or not? i am really in the dark here and any info would be appreciated! Thanks

From what I have read there were 16 prototypes made. I guess it could be one of those. Production started in 1970 and 3 were made then. The chassis number would tell a lot.
The Mercedes Classic Center in Irvine, California would be the best source for information. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c1...irvine-ca.html
Either way that is a very nice looking one. Has the optional alloy wheels and co driver mirror. What other options?

I often get queried for having just the driver mirror and have to explain that it comes 'stock' like that..I love the foot operated wipers and chrome gear shift surround too.
