Gentlemen,
This intermittent problem is such that the needle pegs into the red at times
When idle or running efficiently. Then it will revert to normal operation, i.e. Intermittent.

It is just a vacuum gauge. You should experience some symptom like engine cutting out or idle dropping. There is nothing electrical.
