FOR SALE - '88 R107 560SL - 75% Complete Project!
1988 Mercedes Benz R107 560SL
This is a great late-stage project car that I have loved to work on over the last year. This car is in very good mechanical condition - inspected at Austrian Motors MB experts in Midtown ATL. Great engine compression and shifts well through all gears.
Oil & Filter replaced; Timing chain good w/ little stretch; New Valve Cover Gaskets & Seals; Cylinder Leakage Test - Good; New Motor & Transmission Mounts; New Sub-Frame Mounts; New Oil Line Kits; All Cams Professionally Cleaned; New Battery, New Belts, New Vacuum Hoses & In-Take Boot; New Fuel Pressure Regulator; New Throttle Switch; New Fuel Line from tank to filter & New Fuel Filter; New OE High Polished Chrome Wheels & Tires.
She's in great shape to cruise. Some Minor rust spots on the exterior and I would recommend some paint touch-up, fresh clear coat and a healthy application of wax (that would be next on my list).
New Interior carpets and Seat Coverings and Soft Top will make this project complete! Sellers on eBay offer the complete interior replacement package, including new canvas soft top and trunk carpet, in any OE color you wish for under $2,000.
I would love to finish this project and bring this car's value back to it's true value, but the plans have changed and my wife wants the space, and my time, back!
All of hard mechanical works is done! New carpets, seat covers, wood trim and soft top are all DIY!!
