SL/R107: 380 starts but won't run
I'm hoping to get my wife's 1983 380SL running. I've got a lot of work to do. It has been sitting for 10 years.
When I put it in in storage 10 years ago, it would start but would not run. I've been told it was probably the fuel pump solenoid which switches over from a starting fuel line to a running fuel line. I was told it is located behind the glovebox. Does this make any sense? From the research Ive done, I see a lot of talk about a fuel pump relay but not about a fuel pump solenoid. Is there such a thing as a solenoid or is it the relay that I probably need?
Looking forward to all the help I can get.
