Lost keys R107
Dear People of MB world,
A week ago I lost my keys of my R107 from 1987. Luckily I have a set of spare keys but I really want an extra pair again. Unfortunately this key has an immobiliser key (as shown in the images).
Ordering the normal key is no problem, but I cannot seem to find a company that makes the immobiliser keys anywhere in The Netherlands. Does anyone know a company or a country that makes these keys? Help is much appreciated!
Thank you

The original key is reproducable which is not a problem but the other black immobiliser (which you hold against the dashboard to be able to start the car afterwards) seems to be unobtainable...

That immobilizer was added aftermarket and wasn't factory. I'd remove it and be done with the problem.
It's probably connected into the ignition switch somehow. I'd pull the ignition switch or look behind it, and follow any wires to the immobilizer.
They have likely cut one of the wires going to the ignition switch, and wired the immobilizer in place. So unless the "key" is touched to the immobilizer, the car won't start.
Other than that immobilizer, all you should need is a standard MB key to start your car.
Rip out the immobilizer now while you can test it with a working "immobilizer" key to see what it does. If you lose that other key you're dead in the water.
