R 107 Euro Bumpers
Anyone that have some euro bumpers for sale, or knows about where I can find some.
I have a US 560 SL, that I want to convert.
Best regards,
Birger.

I just finished the conversion on my '79. If you visit Benzworld..there is a section on how I did the swap..and saved myself a bunch of work. New repops are available..and there are always a couple sets on Ebay. Be prepared to spend $1500 or so for a nice set. The rubber is available as well. Remember that the turn signals and the lower grille is different on Euro models..but...you can do the swap without that step. I even changed the door mirrors to the Euro style on mine..If you visit Benzworld..search for ..ozark1..and there are pics. of my car. I'll be glad to help if you need some advice...JV..

Just finished the Euro bumper swap on my pristine 86 SL. Sourced the bumpers and kit from MACarbon in Northern California. Cost is about $2000 delivered and they are exact replicas...However, instructions are poor. Nice quality but they are NOT a bolt on ....you will need some skills and a lot of patience to make it happen. But, the juice is certainly worth the squeeze.

Did you use the front side brackets ? Read the article I did on Benzworld. I did not use the side brackets..Made a simple weld on plate for center brackets..Rear took about 1/2 hour..Bumpers weigh less than a bag of dog food.. NO PROTECTION..My fabrication makes them fit perfect..without screwing with those side brackets..

Yes , I fabricated my own side brackets....the ones supplied were poorly designed and pretty much useless
