I recently had my engine rebuild and upon going over the engine I noticed a few things. One. I do not have an idle control valve but some strange concocted formation. Two. I have these little red plastic things, they look like they would be

These two pinkish red things have two openings each but nothing is attached. Top one is hard to see but is identical to the one in plain view. They look like something should be connected to them.

This is what is supposed to be the idle control valve. The number 1 shows a screw inserted and the number 2 shows an open hole with nothing attached.
I’ve taken a photograph. Does anyone know what these are and what should be connected to them? Also and took a picture of the concocted idol valve replacement and I have an idle control valve to put in but it doesn’t have all the connections like the electrical connections for the end of the valve. I found the rubber hose I need on eBay but it too has a hose offshoot but to where??
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. Currently, I also just put it in put in a new idle control unit and the car runs better and doesn’t stall out at lights but has a bit of a high idle, again any advice would be appreciated thank you.
Current things not working are door locks and cruise control
Thanks. GDay/ Tampa

New definition of Monkey Wrench. A monkey wrenched on your car. The red things are thermo valves. They open at 70C. Vacuum hoses are connected.
This thread has some vacuum diagrams. https://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c...-diagrams.html
