1982 mercedes 500sl

for sale 1982 Mercedes 500SL euro spec

hello I have a

1982 Mercedes 500sl Euro spec model
5.0L v8, 214k kilometers, power steering, power brakes, power windows, auto trans, a/c, runs and drives great.
Interior is in great shape, body and paint is super nice, brakes stop perfect, trans shift smooth, asking $13800 obo

Definitely looks like a post-and-run. When I run the VIN it doesn't look like it's been re-registered in the past few months:

Oh well, it's a little out of my price range, and not the color I'm looking for, anyways.

Can I ask, what are you using to do that check? I am currently trying to look up the history of my Uncle's 560SL as he has lost most of the paperwork.
