1979 SLC 450
Just picked up a 1979 450SLC! 120k miles. Looking forward to doing some work and driving this classic on the road. Any tips from other owners would be appreciated. Looking for a pdf of the owners manual.

Does anyone know if you can replace the male part on the door trim pieces? I know you can buy the female clip part that gets inserted into the door which the door trim pieces snap into. But what if one of the male clip on the door trim has snapped off? Can the male clip be replaced? Or do I have to get a new door trim piece?

Owners manual found
Thanks myway. I'll take another look at the door trim. I though it was not possible to remove the push button upper part and thought I'd damage it in trying to do so.
Also, I found the manual if others need it. I stumbled upon a 1980 manual but changed the weblink from "80%..." to "79%..." and was able to download it as well.

HWA 17" wheels mounted!
Just mounted HWA's 17x8.5 on my 1979 450SLC and I am very happy. Thanks to Takahiro and the gang at HWA for making a great looking wheel while still trying to maintain the original look of the 107 era classics. Glad I went with 17's instead of 16's. I wrapped them in 235/45R17 tires and they fit perfectly with no rubbing or fender rolling required. Going with 9.5 width wheel widths on the rear would require fender rolling. Ride is a little bit stiffer than stock as expected but still a joy to ride in and comfortable.
