replacement steering wheel

smaller steering wheel for 1984 380sl. I am looking at the cheap (under $200) steering wheels to replace the way too large stock wheel. It looks like the mounting hubs sell for about $75. Is it that easy? The wheels have a central horn button. Will that function without retiring or needing unobtainable parts? Any info appreciated from those who have made this modification. Thanks. Eddie

1988 560SL, 2017 SL 450, and a few Corvettes
Before you order a smaller steering wheel, do make sure the top won't keep you from seeing the speedometer.

Smaller wheels will interfere with speedo view to varying degrees depending on driver size and wheel size. They make an offset adapter to raise the wheel a little.

Thanks, but...

Thanks for the replies, but I would like to know if the available aftermarket wheels and hubs are a bolt on deal or whether it is more complicated, like having to rewire the horn. An adapter to raise the wheel is interesting, but I can’t find who might sell that.

The hub uses your existing bolt and wiring. Momo sells wheels, hubs and the offset (eccentric) spacer.
