1983 280SL Clutch pedal won't depress
Hello all, recently picked up a 1983 280sl and a 1990 560 sec that were sitting outside of a barn. The r107 cranks but doesn't start, but thats something I plan to tackle later on. The main problem I have not been able to find a cure for is that the clutch pedal is stuck up. Even with tremendous force, the clutch pedal won't depress. The shifter goes through all the gears just fine but the trans does make a little noise when shaking in neutral. Might be nothing as I am not used to these transmissions but its worth a mention. From what I gathered it could be a seized piston rod in the slave cylinder? Bringing the car home tomorrow and would like to address this first. Thanks for any help in advance.
