560SL Torque Converter Stuck/Advice

First I would like to say that I have never done anything like this before. That said, I have removed the transmission from my 1987 560SL and have removed the plastic retaining plug on the bottom of the tranny case, but I can not budge the torque converter what-so-ever. Is there something I'm missing? Shouldn't the torque converter simply slide off? I can not find a manual for this car and no videos either. But I have seen videos of other cars where the torque converter simply slides off. I do not want to damage something so that's why I'm not prying or banging. Instead I'm posting this question to you SL people here.

Thanks in advance.

I solved this. Torque converter was stuck. I used a piece of plywood on the flywheel side of transmission and used 3 extended bolts through the plywood to the torque converter. I then equally started tightening the bolts until the converter came loose. Worked like a charm.
