Turn signal not returning to normal after turn

I have a 1989 560sl turn signal lever that won’t return. Local Indy repair shop said there are 4 new ones in the nation but dealers are asking a big premium for them. Has anyone had any luck buying refurbished or used turn signal lever and mechanism?

You can get a new replacement for relatively cheap if you don't mind aftermarket.

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...iABEgJ6W_D_BwE

It is easy to install.

Does it not cancel at all, or is it a case where you have to turn almost full lock in one direction then return to straight to get it to cancel. That would be caused by an improperly installed steering box or steering coupler.
