Cool 1979 450 SL..Hot or Not ?

Update...New clutch fan..system flushed..75 degree thermostat..(and a new converter) Just now had time to test..Car starts on first turn and idles at about 900. Just went on a 20 mile ride..Temp got right at the mark ABOVE the 175 marker. Pulled into garage...shut it off for a couple minutes..Hit the key....turned over 4-5 l times..then started with a rough idle at about 2-300 rpm.. I know about the big white screw. WUR and FD were both rebuilt 2K miles ago at CIS...I still want this right before I give it to my daughter...Any thoughts ?..thanks..JV..........
