HP increase?
493 BHP and 516 Torque are the new numbers according to the latest Automobile article. For daily driving ie 30km-70km, only the 996 turbo seems to be able to keep up with a 4.0 sec job. The manager at my local dealership had indicated to me about a month ago that this model's power would be increased for the North American market. Cheers!

These are the latest numbers on the mercedes-amg.de web site.
368Kw/500hp@6100, 700n/m torque at 2560-4000 rpm
Last week the web site had two different figures (old and new ones).
It also says 0->62.5 is 4.7 seconds, which is generally acknowledged to be conservative.
The mercedes.de web site still says 350kw/476ps
I also have an email from someone in AMG (answering a query I sent them) saying engine has *always* had about this amount of power, they are just putting it on the documentation.
This contradicts lonman's measurement of his own early vehicle .. and the general gossip that the first 100 or so vehciles were recalled and power upgraded ...
