Pirelli or Michelin ??

I just changed the tires on my Sl55 from the Pirelli P Zero Rosso to the Michelin Pilot Sport. Was this a good move? They are not the PS2.

You're in an excellent position to tell us, having a recent experience with the old ones. Are they quieter? Stickier? I think you can count on Michelins being well-made tires; the question is how well they suit your needs. I've used those tires on a 911, and my only problem was road noise, but every tire is noisy on that car.

Just got them put on.

The only noticable difference is that the ride feels "harder". I haven't pushed them yet as I want to break them in first. Any comments are appreciated though.

Drive normally for a few miles. Tires have a substance on them that preserves the rubber for shipping. Until that slippery substance wears off, drive carefully/normally.

Personally, I like the PS2's over the Rosso's because the Pirelli's are known to lose their shape.

The road feel is much too hard with the Pilot Sports. I can feel every pebble like an Indy car. I'm going to switch back to the pirelllis

You sir, rock. You came back and told us! A lot of people say they will, but months later, you never hear from them again.

How many miles did you put on your Miche's?

Bridgestones

Personally, I really like Bridgestone. I got the RE050s which are the only ones qualified for derestriction with the AMG 19's. Not that I go that fast, but I do have to say that the ride is quiet and quite pleasant even with the 19's. Quite sticky. No squeal yet.
