SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Shredded SL Front End
HAMMER! DIRECT HIT!
I feel the tire pass beneath the car and look in my rear view mirror just in time to catch the shredded rubber bounce up directly into the grill of a 3 series. I start swearing to nobody in particular and pull over (with the 330) to check out the damage.
Believe it or not... his was much worse.
Dropping the car off tomorrow for repairs. UGH.

I am glad that you are ok tho. under this kind of situation, i think its better to drive-on instead of to either brake (the car behind you might not react sooner and can rear end you) or try to dodge it because the steering change might cause the car to lose control.
so, i think you did the right thing and good luck with the repair. i am sure it will look like new again very soon!
