sl65 vs zo6
treynor, would you give us some of your observations about the real world (not track-related) driving traits and handling abilities and nvg levels of these two cars? thanks.

the SL will beat the vette in pretty much ever aspect, the only advantage the vette has is the amount of upgrades avalible. If you modify the vette alot then it will be faster then a SL-65 mostly cause of the weight difference between the 2

Let me guess -- the plastic and fiberglass on the Corvette squeek when taking a tight on/off ramp at speed; and the leather, wood, and metal on the SL65 don't!
Just being mean...the Corvette is a great track car for the money...but how in the hell could you even begin to, or want to, compare one to an SL65 as a daily driver? Apples and sauerkraut?

They're both great cars! The SL is obviously the easier daily driver -- quieter, more comfortable seating position, auto tranny, and it's a convertible to boot. The Z would hands-down be my choice on a roadcourse or autocross; it's 1400 lbs lighter (!!) and that shows up in handling & braking.
