I know... and I understand it... but I am thinking those blue flames shooting out the exhaust pipes can't be good for the motor... something is not quite right. Although it looks cool as hell!!

that is unburned gas released and igniting in the exhaust due to heat..

obviously the compression is high but there is no damage in releasing trhrottle and the car not burning all in the chaber on the throtle release..


is is just a waste..

BTW i ran 11.1 at 135 at gainsville and i really drove like a grandma on street tires with a major misshift from 1,st to second

Bringing this thread back to life to add that Joe ripped the supercharger(s) off of the Ford GT and added a custom twin turbo set-up and has had around 1,000 HP at the wheels for a while now. Rumor has it that he plans a crate engine swap that will put him up to 1,600 RWHP.

I have heard of a guy in Tx with a Ford GT running low 10's with a pulley upgrade and nitrous....

A friend of mine who owns a well known tuner shop here just built a new street car. Its a Sonic Blue 2003 Cobra with twin turbos and it has already made 770rwhp@17psi of boost. He plans to get it sorted out with 21psi on it and make 850rwhp. Then he plans to add a stroker motor. Appearance from the outside is nearly stock despite the front mount intercooler. It is actually much quieter than the typical cobra. It has full exhaust on it, but it also has an electric cutout in the downpipe actuated via a switch in the console to free up those turbos when he is really laying into it. Easily the fastest car I have ridden in.. so far. His race car runs 8.20's with a 4.6L cobra engine on drag radial tires.

otherwise my new motor is comming in a couple of weeks .. same block just a bit more power...
