Rear shelf luggage

I purchased rear shelf bag for my Sl55 and it was only 31-13-7 inches. I would like the bigger rear shelf bag but was told it was discontinued by the Mercedes dealer. Anyone know how to find one?

Didn't know there was one... I have the one shown inthe "07 SL55" thread which is huge and fills the width of the car, but as phonetics points out, the size is ridiculous, you knock into people in elevators.

Had Mercedes Benz USA ship me a leftover rear shelf bag. It is still not the correct bag. This one is like my other one; 32-13-7, not 32-13-12. They don't have the bigger bag I guess. If anyone wants to sell the bigger luggage bag let me know.

Hi BMS, I have 2 such bags and only one SL55 (don't ask). The only thing is I'm in Europe, so the shipping alone would be expensive I guess. What's your take?

From what I understand the retail price is $450, so something in that direction would be nice. But that would exclude the shipping from Europe. Perhaps MBenzNL has a good shipper for me, I have no idea how much that would be. I could ask around if someone is seriously interested.

Well, today 3 different Mercedes dealerships told me that there was only one size rear shelf bag and the dimensions were 32-13-7. That when it was filled it would expand to 32-13-12. When I talked to Park Place Mercedes a very nice lady said she would investigate and call me back, which she did. She said the catalog add is a misprint and all bags are 32-13-7, which means I now have 2, but am able to send one back for a refund. If your bag measures 12 inches across I am very interested and also more confused than ever.
