Brake feel after high speed slow down.
I was pushing my SL a bit hard today and I noticed something for the first time. When braking hard from 150+ down to 100 I can "feel" the drilled holes in the pedal if I reapply slight brake pressure just after slowing down. It goes away after a min or so and I think it is heat related. Anyone else experience this? BTW, I hit 160 on an open stretch or road, just briefly though.

I have driven the SL55 (and the rest of the AMG range as well) at Daimler Chrysler organised AMG track days at both Hockenheim and Sepang and cannot say I've noticed this effect (though it may be that we were all too busy keeping up with the instructors to notice).
What does happen though (especially at Hockenheim) is that once cars go into the pits for the participants to change cars, the brake temperature warning lights come on, though there is no discernable fade. The lights go out again pretty quick once one goes back on the track as cool air is ducted to them and the engineers tell us it is perfectly normal.
