SL65 production numbers
so, i received EM today stating that SL65 production numbers were approximately 200 in both 2005 and 2006.
the EM didn't specify whether that was US bound production.
does anybody know the MY2007 production estimate for US bound SL65s?

200/yr SL65s to US sounds like nos. I've heard. Also, perhaps only 35% of those vols were cust-ordered cars....the other 65% were cars showing up at dealers, often mysteriously w/o critical options like Parktronic, blk nappa leather option (now std in '07), blk ash wood/cf interior finish (rather than the silly walnut trim)......thus, the many new 65s sitting on dealer lots/on ebay looking for a home w/some price-conscious buyer.....
Doubt '07 vols will be even 200/yr.....several guys I know who prev drove SL55/65 as daily commuter cars are opting for '07 S/CL65 (rather than SL) as Merc is putting more of the interesting tech toys (e.g., Bluetooth, latest audio/nav, airbag systems, etc) into its newest platforms, rather than the ancient 4yo SL platform (tech fanatics prob don't aspire to retrofit their 4yo PC/cell ph/iPod either

Only thing my dealer (who I've bought many new 55/65 from in past and who's always been a reliable source) has told me is that he keeps hearing that SL55 will get some version of the 63 motor (as will '07 S/CL AMGs) by CYE06.....
I'm surprised MB would replace motor on revised '07 SL55 so quickly....damaging SL55's already fragile resale/trade-in values....but, in any case, I'm opting for S65 this Summer and trading it in for CL65 whenever it's released....presumably 4Q06/1Q07....
