Thumbs up Pics of All-New 997 TT on the road today in Atlanta

Was in Atlanta this week driving down Hammond Drive, and right when I was crossing over I-285 on the bridge on Hammond I spot a brand new black 997 twin turbo coupe with a distributor tag. I guess this is because Porsche Headquarters for North America is in Atlanta, Georgia, right off of Hammond.... as a matter of fact I believe the gentleman driving the car pulled right out of the Porsche Corporate Headquarters. The car kept taking off too fast and it was bumper to bumper traffic around 5:15 p.m., so it was hard to get to it, and plus the pics are retardedly low quality from the cell phone, but atleast you can still see what it is, the wheels are pretty cool though.

Beautiful car, very wide, much wider than the new Carrera 4S, but still a chipped SL 65 would smoke it,... better to wait 2 more years and get the all-new upcoming SL 69 AMG !!

The 997TT with tiptronic is doing 0-60 in 3.2 with just about anybody behind the wheel. I would hardly say that the SL65 would smoke it. I'm getting the six speed just to row through the gears. The road tests are just starting to come out now.

They tested the tiptronic in Germany, June issue. 0-60 in 3.2 on a cold runway with winter tires, it was also starting to snow and there were patches of ice on the runway.

That thing (997TT) comes into CLK DTM AMG territory judging the numbers. It will smoke all other Mercedi for sure.

Judging by the trap speeds on the 997TT and the SL65, it is safe to say that the SL65 will walk away from the TT from a roll-on; however, it is a different story from a dead stop. right??

SL65 has massive wheelspin issues @ dead stop.

Agreed. If you had to chip an SL65 to try to smoke it, then imagine what a modded 997TT could do with TechArt or 9FF mods.

BHP with full mods could reach close to 800hp. For a car that weighs less than any MB.

It is definetly a contender to the SL65....I agree with the dead stop/ rolling start comparisons.

The rear end is the best part about that exterior IMO.

From what I am reading, mods to the 997TT will be quite a while away. The ECU controls the variable vanes on the turbos as well as other engine functions. There is even speculation the it may even be difficult to add aftermarket exhaust because of this. Everything I have read says that the tiptronic is several tics faster than the 6 speed.
As far as pulling from a roll against an SL65, it's anybodies guess right know. After I get it broken in I plan on doing a few pulls against my SL55 after I get the Kleeman K2 tuning.
