courtesy lights...
i drove the SL65 down and arrived today. great ride, but there were two issues:
1. i couldn't turn off the courtesy lights -- from the bottom of the rearview mirror, both footwells and both door release pulls.; and
2. i couldn't program in a navigation destination.
during a stop in SC this morning, i pressed "i" to activate tele-aid (which i really should've done before leaving). after activating it, i was transferred to customer assistance. a fellow named ted said the courtesy lights remain on at all times. i thought that interesting and inaccurate. i doubt they stay on while the car is off and stopped, which i reported to him. and i doubt the light from the rearview, spilling between the driver and road at night, is supposed to be on at all times. please tell me how to handle these courtesy lights.
the navigation issue fix might be as simple as reloading the DVD. if not, then i'll make a trip to the local service center. the map comes up,as does the car icon, so i'm fairly sure that resolution won't be a DVD reload. i'm betting on a trip to the dealer. have any of you experienced similar NAV issues?
