any suggestions in the socal area where and how much this cost. is it difficult to install.

Simple, I connected mine to the AUX jack in the glove box. Works like a charm.

My wife's SLK has an Aux Jack, but I can not see it in my 05 SL55. Where is it?

i checked the glove box, but no sign of a jack.

No AUX jack in the 2005 SL55. It has to be hard wired to the Comand.

Look inside the glove box on the left hand side-wall. It's there, honest.
