SL55 Mystery Rattle
I have a 2005 SL55 with 5,000 miles. Just recently, upon getting off the interstate, the car would rattle when hitting a bump in the road or coming to a stop. I have taken three one hour drives on the highway, and the rattle re-appears. When I am driving the car only around the city, I don't hear any rattles. The rattle starts when the car is hot. It sounds like the front suspension, and is only noticeable at lower speeds. I didn't get any error codes, and the car is in the shop today for the second time. I checked the spare and took all loose items out of the trunk.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
BTW, I did search old posts and most rattles were noted when the car was cold (hand-brake).

You may think it's coming from front but it seems under the driver's side front sometimes i hear a rattle but its only when start up cold. Also check gas tank there is a piece the detaches and intermittedly you will hear a rattle
