Carbon Fiber Hood and Trunk now Available!

We are happy to finally have a carbon fiber hood and trunk out for all you enthusiasts or carbon fiber lovers. The quality of these parts are top notch. I'd love to see one of these on an SL with it painted to fade into the rest of the cars paint job!

Here is a link for more details.

Looks very interesting. Do you offer paint service in house, as in painting before it leaves your facility?

I am shopping for an SL55 AMG within the next 6 - 8 months and I am very interested in purchasing some performance equipment when I have the car. Quite important to upgrading this car, I think, would be weight reduction -- I was very pleased to see these carbon fiber panels as they would make an excellent starting point!

If you want some sort of custom paint job we would not do that only because its really a lot easier to have the car to do that with.

If you want just the hood totally painted then shipped, yes we can do that if you would like. Or any local body shop can also do the job.

From another post, if I remember right 15lb saved per part. Normal weight is 30lb for each part so you save 50% weight.

Most of that information can be found in the link

http://www.euroteckmotorsports.com/i...il&product=235

Each part is about 15lbs lighter then stock. Introductory price for each part is $2,499 but will go up to its regular retail in a few weeks probably.

Btw, i see you sold your F40. A while ago you once sent me pics of it. What an awesome car!

That's a lot of money to spend to shave 30 pounds from a 4300 pound car.

Fewer hamburgers and beers can probably cut out about 10.

A full tank of gas weighs about 170 pounds.

Make something for the SLK!

One of the few mercedes where shaving the weight can really make a difference!

Now just think if you cut down on the hamburgers, beers and have only a few gallons on the tank plus the CF hood and trunk, with some lightweight rotors and wheels. The SL can still have hope on a track.

I'm still waiting for someone to offer lightweight seats for the SL. The stock seats in the SL65 weigh 60 lbs each; you could save 80 lbs off the car with a couple of 20lb replacements.

If I wanted a track car I would have bought something else and saved a boatload of money.
