Potential good deals on used SL55
An independent dealer here has two SL55 which he told me he is looking to "liquidate". He said the market for $50-100k used cars is very soft right now. Below are some details and his advertised prices -- my guess is they can be had for well below them.
2004 SL55, Black opal / charcoal, 12.5k miles, fully loaded with all options including pano and distronic. Asking price $85,500
2003 SL55, Designo Graphite, 22.5k miles, full loaded with all options including pano and distronic, has aftermarket wheels. Asking price $75,500.
If anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction. Dealer and cars are in Scottdale, AZ.

That price on a 2004 isn't that great.. I'm selling mine w/ custom forged wheels (set of 6, 2 of them are spares) for $86,000, yet my car has only 6,000 miles. It's only missing pano-roof & Distronic..

It is an independent dealer, they do a lot of wholesale. One of their sales people bought one of my previous cars, and the seller of these SLs was nice enough to find a buyer for my wife's old SUV when I got her a Range Rover Supercharged.
If you have credit it is very easy to get your own financing, either online or at a bank or credit union, although I'm sure the dealer could help if asked. You can also use a leasing service like leasecompare.com
