D-badge or not to D-badge

How many of you guys have debadged your cars? To what point??

I just took the V8kompressor off the sides. IMO it looks so much better/cleaner with out. Easier to clean, wax and dry too.

Now the rear end...

Leave the SL55 and AMG badge? Remove one or the other?

It is a RENNtech machine now.. do I put the RENNtech badge on??

I'm about to drive myself crazy as we are just about done modding the car. Before and the after pictures are not far away. But the badge thing... this is a tuff one.

Badges. We dont need no stinking badges.

Personally. With all the posers out there faking AMG badges.

I am leaving mine stone cold stock for now. SL55 AMG.
Maybe when my warranty passes will think about doing the mods.
Pulley and chip.

Its a personal choice I guess. Dont see too many debadged
here in OC. More posers than debadged big time.
May be a good idea to debadge in a high crime area ?
Hear they do it in europe more often.

Posers care about the badge...true AMGs don't care whats on the outside...it's the inside that counts!

Add a zero and have some with some posers.

That's what makes taking the badges off fun. Very few non MB enthusiasts have a clue what they are looking at with the badges on, let alone with out.

When I was in France and Switzerland last month, almost all the cars there were de-badged. In the U.S., it seems to be very important, which is why the 2007 SL500 became the SL550 for the U.S. market alone .. no badge in the U.S. = no bling
