$1400 a month for an SL65? You must be talking about a 7+ year lease..

Are you sure you want to be driving the car for 5 years after the new body style is potentially out?

I remember when I was 18.. i had quite a fleet of "nice" cars.. let's just say.. if i could do it again.. I WOULDN'T.. being young and having a nice car...

all i can say is.. be careful what you wish for.. you might just get it.. many don't realize what else is involved until they go through it at a young age..

although i can't blame you for wanting a $150k+ car... trust me.. it isn't all it's cracked up to be to have something like this being a teenager.. and even if you say you don't care what people say or think of you... you wouldn't even be considering a lambo if this was the case..

there is a reason why 80% of the wealthiest billionaires in the country drive cars valued at under $40,000.. i'll leave it at that.. the rest you'll soon discover once you make your purchase :>

enjoy whatever you buy though.. have fun and learn.. i sure as hell did..

Yeah its amazing when I was 14 I came up there and saw all these benzes I was just like D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-damn, alot of mobsters that came over from Russia....

An american friend of mine bought a Arange and proceded to show off in the one of the richest, yet mob crawling neighborhoods in Moscow, he got pulled out of his car by teenagers...LOL
----------

Those glitches are why I hate benz, but still I love it .....

you'd think spending 100+Gs on something and they'd take care of it...

And yeah, if you give 0 down on a lease, you're screwed, yet sometimes its cheaper than buying....sometimes......

I was paying 980 w/ tax for my range w/ inception costs + 2 K, and I got quoted 1,400 for a 06 sl65 w/ 6.5k down..99% sure ill go for that...

My future rosters will hopefully look like sl65,s65/600,f430sydr,somesortofSUV

Thanks alot guys, looks likes you cant loose with benz, I will deff take pix same day I get it and I also will have some 20" mayas on the way

I'm 18, pretty pathetic that you've got no respect for your parents.

A pulley and ecu tuning is not going to put the SL55 anywhere near a SL65. If it was close from 30 to 110 then the SL65 was not pushing. You are in the sweet spot of the SL65 at those speeds since you take launch traction issues out of the equation. The torque of the 65 pulls like a freight train in that range.

Not a chance.......

I have no doubts that he'll get a quarter million dollar car. I've seen kids blow that kind of money on a school night at a club. Money isn't the issue, attitude and principal is IMO.

But I'll shutup.

because friends + expensive cars.. change things.. and sometimes being young.. some people can be very immature/jealous about the situation..

i'm 26 now.. so i am by no means being a hypocrit.. but i came into the "new money" cycle with nothing but feelings of pulling up in an exotic.. with the whole.. flash factor..

i lived.. and learned.. (not that much though.. ) and am not going to summarize it all in one paragraph.. while i'm not criticizing him, nor anyone for getting a $150k car, hell even a $600k car.. just that.. at that age.. with one's peers.. it DOES change things.. and not necessarilly as one expects for the better... i'll leave it at that..

You discredit the SL65 for comparing it to a train.

I love turbos.

Just curious who offered you this "deal" and how many months is it for?
I am sure there are a few on this board who would be interested.

Yeah see it would be great to have a 65AMG fleet but there goes the question of people thinking its a regular 550.....I care a little too much what people think, bad, I know.....

If youve seen the gallardo VS s65 you saw how the 65 blew it out of the water...

but the lease payments would look like upper class exotics for the S65....thats why I like the 600, a step above the 550, v12 and all, but not costing you an arm....

thanks everyone!, I'm almost sure I'll get a 65 and get a full step up, like a 430 spyder a little later...instead of going with a half baked exotic, lol....

EDIT:

PM me, I'll tell you what I can.....

I lived in Philly since I came from Russia, but there arent many nice houses around philly that are worth the price tag, if youl ive on the main line, its biggest burb', you'l pay 2 million for 5000 sqft...as opposed to 15000 sqft in cheryyhill for that much....

I go to school in the main line and some houses are just castles, absolute castles....

Youngmoney87 = Clay J Jr.????

Seriously though, I am the same age as Seattle and he is right about jealousy issues.

The Gallardo is the baby Lambo (no lambo doors =(), but at 19, you will be one of youngest owners since most guys are 40+. My buddy has one and is pretty young but has other cars as well.

The Bentley is a great car but at your age the Lambo is better. Good luck driving it everyday. IMO you should have 2 other vehicles when owning a Lambo. Also driving the lambo too much is "trying too hard", and many classy girls may think you are an attention ***** (the attention ***** girls will be all over you).

The SL65 is the most tasteful badass daily driver/ Beast/ AMG V12 monster/God of Benzes.....ultimate choice if you really do have the capital you claim as a daily driver. It will get the RIGHT kind of attention by people who matter, if you know what I mean.

Another option would be to buy a used SL500 for cheap and kit it out with Brabus etc. and then lease a Gallardo....since like I said the Lambo may not be your best choice as a daily driver.

Yeah change to 4.8iS was curious. Another 13bhp. I prefer the 20s on the 4.6 too. The iS X5 is still the best handling SUV ever made. Much better than GC SRT8s, better than RRS and even the Cayenne.

19-year-old... If i were you, i'd buy the 65. In black and leave it "stock." There's a lot more Gallardos about than 65s. With the top down, you'll get some nice attention at the lights too (assuming you don't look like jack black!)

jeez

come on he is 19 ... how old do you think the women he is hanging around are? Most won't know the difference between a 65 and a 500. Sure at 19 he is probably into older women but even then I doubt they would know.

With the G ... freaking a 4 year old would know.

We have forgot one thing. No matter how much money he may have, he is 19 and contemplating 500-600hp cars. Unless he has spent alot of time at the track or taking driving schools.....he stands a good chance of going splat!

If you have made alot of money legally...good for you. You deserve a prize for your efforts....after all that is what the USA is all about. But make sure that you get your little behind up to Lime Rock, CT and enroll in Skipp Barber's course....you wil have more fun with your car, and it just may save your life. Even if you are just looking to 'show off'.....it will be extremely difficult not to get provoked into some situations that you will be in over your head.....very quickly, with any of these cars.

Exactly. He also forgot sales tax, registration, license, etc.. which will add another $12,000 to $15,000 to that price..

He needs to almost triple that number for a 39 month lease, and almost double it for a 72 month lease. but personally i would NOT want to be stuck in the current-gen body style with a 72 month lease.. paying $3000 a month to drive a previous generation mbnz in a couple-few years?

no thanks..

No offense to actual young professionals but my guess would be this guy has bigger dreams than bank accounts. What kind of person that actually has money calls themselves YoungMoney and has a signature of teenage millionaire, richer than my parents? Give me a break. And save the hater responses kids because I know some legitimate young guys with money and they don't get in that position at such a young age by accident. Unless this guy hit it big by making an album and selling cd's out of his trunk I will say this is a joke.

I wasn't about to jump off the bridge first but I'm definitely gonna have to say this is total . At 19, unless your parents are caking it up enough to hand you a chunk of cash to invest that you somehow managed to quintuple, or you're just terrific at slingin rock, there's no way you're banking like that.

This was ALL I needed to read. I have nothing against ambitious 18-19 year olds but find it hard to respect those who disrespect their parents.

id say get a gallardo .. sl's are kinda cheesy.. i'd take one but **** i'd rather have the bentley coupe or the gallardo for sure..

the bentley probably the most reliable (i am just talking out of my *** but this is what i would think)

a white gallardo would be sick! 19 year old in gallardo or bentley is sickkk.. a 19 yr old in a SL looks like sunny took mom and pops car out.. you know?? but same with the other cars.. soo
