SL extended warranty- do we need it?
As many of the 2003's are coming off factory warranty (and soon mine) what are our options on an exteneded warranty? I'm usually not a fan of these for inexpensive cars, electronis, ect but as most of us know the SL55 can be expensive to repair and it is not the most trouble free car on the road. I really love driving my car but I wonder about the 3 year cost of repair. Any thoughts on this?

If you really want to drive the car for 3 more years, I would recommend getting it. Most MB dealers offer extended warranty programs that are also accepted by some independent dealers. Shop around and ask each dealer which company carries the warranty they offer. It should be a company that has been in business for a while. If they go out of business, the warranty could be void. Also, check what the deductible is and if you get any money back should you decide to sell the car early and cancel it.
