345/30/18 Bfg Drags???

Any one out there know if I can fit a set of 345/30/18 bfg drags on my sl65? Next question is what kind of rim can I get in 18x11 for these tires? If any one knows please let me know. I am most likely looking at 1200.00 for this set up and will do this before I tune the car unless some one that has done this thinks I should tune it first and do the drags later? I only go to the track 2-4 times a year.

They'll almost certainly be slower than a set of 275/35-18s, and harder to fit besides. Wider isn't necessarily better - it's more important to have a good contact patch and be able to warm up the tires easily. We're already seeing x65 cars running low 1.6sec 60's on the 275-width tires, and that's all they have power to do at the moment. Save your money!

Thanks Ben,

I gues you may be right, I just always thought the wider the more grip you get. What did your car run in stock form? Are you the guy from AZ that ran the 10.85? Never got a price on your stock 18's? What size bogarts are you running? If you can send ,e a pic of the 65 cf box too that would be great. Sorry to bug you just nice to find someone that has done all I want to do to the same car. What do you think of the ford gt? I miss the lowend lbft from my 55k motor and was thinking of getting another one or the ford gt? Any ideas about the ford gt. How do you launch do you power brake or just mash the gas and esp on or off and I am guessing the suspenion is on the normal setting and abc is not in sport mode?
