SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL55 Creaking Top

2003 SL55
A few more hundred miles later the top is still good. There were a bunch of things that were wrong, main being some strapping around the gas tank (which was replaced) that had failed welds which were rattling. There was also all the adjustments on top of it.
I have it going back in again tomorrow for a few minor things that weren't fixed before and one strange one. Last weekend had it 'slip' into neutral while it was in 'D'. It was just random and only happened twice but having them check that over as one of the two times I was doing a very spirited merge onto a highway and was lucky I didn't get hit!

My SL creaks over speedbumps and uneven roads too...
I guess the conclusion is that our cars will creak no matter how many times we fix it (it will come back). Like Scruffyone said, turn up the volume.

Just wanted to let Everyone know, i went to the dealer about the creaking top (not rattling) i asked him to lube all the rubber joints/seals as suggested somewhere in here among other suggestions. It may be short term but so far i am completetly creak free!!!
They just charged me for an hour of labor, couldnt be more pleased!
