Renntech or Kleeman performance upgrade

Thinking about doing a performance up grade to my car. I am leaning towards the Kleeman K3 or K4. Any advice would be appreciated. I found a performance shop in Atlanta that is a Kleeman dealer. I would feel comfortable with him doing the work. I want to be able to not worry about any Z06 having the edge on me.

If you can drive, you should have no problem being more than a match for a Z06....

I was instructing for a car club's track event. The instructors got free track time. During our session, my relatively stock SL55 reeled in a GT3, ran away from an NSX and held station with a Z06.

The best performance upgrade you can buy is a driver's school. You don't need 600hp...you need to improve your skills....and an added plus is you can take that mod from car to car! You will also be a faster, safer driver.

If you are inexperienced 600hp is just a recipe for a diaper change. I started autocrossing an 80hp (on a good day), Fiat X 1/9. Then I progressed to track days, where my X 1/9 could lap Lyme Rock in a tick off a Ferrari Boxer.

I progressed through various Porsches, and Ferraris, a Lambo here and there, and an Indycar w/750hp that weighs 1550 pounds.

Most people can bearly handle the 80hp in the old Fiat, let alone a 600hp in a 2 ton car. The best mod spent is actually learning how to drive the car and exploiting the best that the driver and car can do.

Everyone is obsessed with straight line speed. That speed means nothing unless you can control it and negotiate a corner. One of my Fcar buddies, who has a 360 Challenge Stradale, could not believe it when I ran away from him on a mountain road........with an M3........the week after I did it the same thing in the SL55. He finally understood that he needed to improve his skills.

I would make my decision on RENNtech or Kleemann based on which is available locally. The both have advantages and disadvantages, but are quality products and either should be just fine.

RennTech............for me, anyways..........customer support is outstanding.......

And Quality/Fit/Finish of product is guaranteed equal to/above Factory-Parts standards............

Performance????

The stuff works..........

Any driver schools in AZ coming up? Maybe a good idea to see what I can do with the power it has before I add more.

I used kleemann on my e55 and the k2 was a night and day difference and the price was not too bad either. I used the renntech elm on the sl and it works great too.
