If it's still up, see if you can find a foot long ruler or something to put up for comparison. Those things are MASSIVE, from what I understand.

All of the above
Hi guys,
I thought it looked cool from underneath so I grabbed the camera.
Yes the brakes are huge, 14.2" in front, 13" in rear. 8 piston calipers up front. They look like the Brembo's that we used on the stock car I used to crew on for my friend. This is actually the same Pewter car I posted pics of earlier. It was our first to be delivered. They are rebalancing the wheels (had to get special weights and then the wheels wouldn't fit on the machine, had to call Snap-on for an adapter). I would not undercoat the car. It has factory rustproofing. I would be concerned about getting it all over the suspension. Note the huge shocks and plumbing to the shocks for the active suspension. There are also little links from the A arms to potentiometers at each wheel to tell the computer about the wheel travel. On the bottom of the shocks (green tag on one) they are marked "L AMG" and "R AMG".

P.S. I know you guys don't care but My New Bike Is Here!!!!!!!!!
Yamaha FJR1300 / 125HP / 635LBS. / $11,499 / 0-60 = 3 sec.!
Lets see: SL55 / 490HP / 4235LBS. / $113,500 / 0-60 = 4.5 sec.
Let me know when your SL55 finally shows up, I'll be the one waiving as I go "bye" on my silver bullet

MB SL55 = 8.64 hp per Lb.
the difference is clear if the by weighted the same as the SL55 in proportion it would loose.

Sorry,
I just had to throw the 2 wheeler in the mix.
I have not seen a Lear jet engine bike but Jay Leno has one with a turbine out of a helicopter (?!)

The FJR is still in the crate, it just came in yesterday. Probably be a week or so before I get it.
Maybe I'll ride the Duc in tomorrow and post a pic.

blueSL,
Good call. In the one pic of the left rear the fender liner is removed. I think they were checking some the ABC connections.
Sorry bobafett, I did not bring in the Duc this morning because I took an '03 E500 demo home last night and put about 100 miles on it. What a great car!! It is easily my favorite Mercedes sedan. Almost as fast as the '02 E55 (my previous favorite) with better suspension (adjustable) and the brake by wire.
I would buy a loaded E500 over an S500 (and save $20,000 + for another Ducati).
