interesting ! any tips on how to shift in manual, because i was told that if you miss the shift point and redline the engine, the gearbox cannot respond, and you will be *redlining* for 5-6 seconds before it will shift again

Believe me, the engine's can handle much more than the 'Redline' is taking.

The BMW M's taking much more RPM's and that's the reason why they don't survive more as 60.000 km, when you use the power to the max!

So, this is why I drive no M5, but an AMG. And already with a lot of pleasure for almost 140.000 km now!
