New SL55 = New Questions
I've searched and found answers to some of these questions but I wanted up-to-date info so please bear with a new owner.
- Is there an option to electronically fold the exterior mirrors when you lock the car? I can't even find a button to manually retract them.
- Is there an option to have the passenger side mirror tilt down when you put the car in reverse? I read that this is no longer an option in the '07s but mine is an '06.
- I read online that these cars had an AUX input? I want to plug an iPod into it but haven't found any such inputs. I also read in a British magazine that all 2006+ SLs had iPod support as standard, is this is Britain-only feature? If the answer is negative, then what's the best option to hook up an iPod? Like not just an AUX input but something that lets you control your iPod through COMAND? Money isn't much of an object obviously if it's a good setup.
- The dealer tells us that you need some $3000 worth of hardware to enable Bluetooth on the car but I've heard that it can be done for a few hundred dollars. Any truth to either of these cases?
- There's a flashing green light in the trunk/boot when you open it? It looks like a light of some sort, no button or anything to press.

Thats about right if you want to use the Command system and need to enable
everything and get a puck and labor. Cheap way is without command interface.

That green light is the trunk release. Like your going to lock yourself in that trunk. NOT. One of those must haves for the law.
So dont lock the kids in the trunk !
