Very Pretty. No doubt about it, black is the sexiest color for these cars.

Maybe a stupid question but, does an other colour exist?

I figured you would agree I am so glad to own this car, the power, the ride, the sound, the feel, how solid it is, and just how you feel driving it. I love it, I love it, I love it. good thing I am single, cause my girlfriend sure would be jealous right now.

Yes, I'm in love as well, but I don't tell my wife. She ask me only several times why I'm in the garage so often.........

Question about your earlier quote:

I finally decided that although the S600 is a 510 horsepower rocket, it is a rocket that also is a family vehicle, the sports car part is lacking. So I split the two worlds and bought a 2007 SL55 ( a rocket)and a GL 450 great off road and family vehicle) and I am very happy, let me hear your thoughts on this. I will post pics soon.

Where do you need a family car for, if you are single?

I have a two year old son, and he can't ride in the SL so the GL450 has the entertainment package with DVD screens, and it also allows me to put his bike and toys in the back. also great for those trips to Home Depot.

2003 SL55
So I am curious...why did you get rid of the 360?

The reason I am asking is I am trying to decide right now between an SL55 and a F360 so I would appreciate your thoughts.

Depends on a few things. How often do you want to use the car, how many miles do you want to drive with it?

When you look for a third car just for fun, buy the Ferrari!

When you look for a daily friend, buy the SL 55!

You can't burden an Italian daily!

I LOVED THE 360, (did you mean 360 or F430) there is no F360.
But in my opinion, not really a daily driver especially in New England, I felt like I had to pamper it too much. couldn't take it to the Mall, I would come out and there would be a crowd around it. couldn't drive it in the Winter. I don't mean the snow, cause I wouldn't do that to the SL55 either, but I mean as soon as the first snow I didn't wanna subject it to the road salt and sand. Too Loud !! (Tubi exhausts) anyone who drove in it too long including me, said for some reason it made them feel tired, constant loud sounds will do that to the brain. Other than that, I loved it, I just got tired of it, probably one of the best cars all around as far as handling and feel. I'll tell you a secret though (shhhh don't tell anyone) The SL55 would smoke it.

Yes, I meant the 360...not F360.

I know the SL55 is probably what I should get but I have had my 500SL for 12+ years and I just thought I would try to find a new "spark" and am concerned that the SL55 may be to familiar since it is another MB.

I know it is a great car and is by FAR the better buy but I am also trying to weigh the depreciation numbers 3-4 years down the road.

Thanks!

on the Depreciation you are probably correct, the 360 would hold better value. and the 360 would definately give you a spark. Because of the fact that the F430 is still going way above sticker price, the 360 can be had for decent money. Just be prepared for high maintenance costs. And as AMG55lover said. Its definately not a daily driver. Oh and believe me, an 07 SL55 is no where near the same as a 12 year old 500 SL, go drive both and make your decision based on that. Good luck and either way, you will be in an automotive elite.

Oil changes are 600-800 dollars, scheduled maintenance which is based on elapsed time not mileage can run from 5,000-10,0000 dollars. Thats why when you buy a used one its very important to know what maintenance was performed.
